The Privacy (Australian Government Agencies – Governance) APP Code 2017 (APP Code) requires all agencies, including the Fair Work Commission, to conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) for all high privacy risk projects.
A project may be a high privacy risk project if the Commission reasonably considers that the project involves any new or changed ways of handling personal information that are likely to have a significant impact on the privacy of individuals.
This PIA register has been prepared in accordance with section 15(1) of the APP Code. It will set out the PIAs completed by the Commission from 1 July 2018.
