4. NOTIFICATION OF SALARY, CLASSIFICATION AND EMPLOYMENT STATUS

The employer shall inform each employee of the terms of engagement, in particular whether he/she is a full time/part-time and continuing/casual employee and whether he/she will be required for roster work. An employee on engagement shall be advised in writing of his or her salary and any normal practice as regards remuneration reviews, where such remuneration is in excess of the award prescription. An employer shall advise an employee of his or her award classification which the employer considers to be appropriate having regard to the duties performed by the employee concerned and the status of the employment relationship.

Disputes and Grievance Procedures at Part VII Clause 1 shall apply to disputes in relation to classification.
