15.1 All members shall be paid reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred in the course of their employment. Wherever practicable, such expenses shall be approved in advance.
15.2 Meal Allowance:

15.2.1 If a member's duty compels him or her to take more than one meal a day away from his or her home, any meal or meals in excess of one day shall (unless otherwise paid for or reimbursed by the employer) be paid for by the employer at the rate of $16.60 for each such meal.
15.2.2 For the purpose of this subclause:
15.2.2(1) "meal" shall mean breakfast, lunch or dinner;
15.2.2(2) normal meal break hours are:
breakfast: |
6.00 a.m. to 8.00 a.m. |
lunch: |
noon to 2.00 p.m. |
dinner: |
6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. |
15.3 When travelling by train a member shall be entitled to first class fare and sleeping berth if one is available.
15.4 If a member not permanently employed on night work is engaged until such an hour that the ordinary means of public transport are not available, or is required to start work before his or her normal means of transport are available, he or she shall be allowed the necessary expense of transport to or from his or her home, or transport shall be provided by the employer.
15.5 A woman member engaged on work requiring attendance in evening dress shall be provided with reasonable transport facilities.
15.6 A member shall be reasonably compensated for damage of his or her clothing and personal effects arising out of, and in the course of, his or her employment.
15.7 Use of office cars
A duly licensed member may drive an office-owned car on any engagement, provided that the member is reimbursed by the employer for financial liabilities covered by ordinary insurance during the whole period in which he or she is in charge of the car.
15.8 Air Travel Reimbursements
When a member agrees to travel by other than a regular passenger-carrying air service, the employer will
15.8.1 reimburse the member for the cost of taking out additional personal insurance to cover any existing insurance policies that would be invalidated by such travel and
15.8.2 reimburse the cost of taking out insurance against injury or death arising from travel by air, other than a regular passenger-carrying service, for not less than $250,000 in the event of death, which is payable to the member in the event of injury or to the member’s legal personal representative in the event of death.
Provided that this clause will not apply where the employer indemnifies the member against any invalidation of the member’s personal insurance policies and insures the member against injury or death in the same terms as set out in paragraph 15.8.2.
15.9 Special Risks Reimbursements
Where a member performs any duty which would invalidate his or her personal insurance policies, or any of them, the employer will reimburse the member for the cost of taking out additional personal insurance to cover any existing insurance policies that would be invalidated by such activity.
Provided that this clause will not apply where the employer indemnifies the member against any invalidation of the member’s personal insurance policies.
