Application on the initiative of the Commission to vary the General Retail Industry Award 2020 – Schedule B—Summary of Hourly Rates of Pay – award specific penalty rates claims – implementation of transitional arrangements.

A. Further to the Statement [[2021] FWC 1033] issued by the Fair Work Commission on 25 February 2021, the above award is varied as follows:

1. By deleting the third row of table 11 at clause 22.1 — containing the rates for “Monday to Friday — after 6:00pm (1 October 2020 to 28 February 2021).

2. By deleting “(from 1 March 2021)” in the fourth row of table 11 at clause 22.1.

3. By deleting the table appearing in clause B.2.1 and inserting the following:

B. This determination comes into operation from 1 March 2021. In accordance with s.165(3) of the Fair Work Act 2009, this determination does not take effect in relation to a particular employee until the start of the employee’s first full pay period that starts on or after 1 March 2021.
