6. MEALS

(i) Employees shall not be required to work more than six hours without a meal break. Such meal break shall be of between 30 and 60 minutes duration and shall not count as time worked.

(ii) Notwithstanding the provision of subclause (i), an employee required to work a shift in excess of ten ordinary hours shall be entitled to 60 minutes for the partaking of a meal. Such time shall be taken as either two 30 minute meal breaks or one 60 minute meal break subject to the agreement of the employer and employee.

(iii) An employee who is required to work overtime for more than two hours and such overtime goes beyond 7.00 a.m., 1.00 p.m., and 6.00 p.m., shall at the option of the employer, be supplied with a meal or shall be paid the amount set out in Item 2 of Table 2 Other Rates and Allowances of Part B.
