AN120011 – Aged Care General Services (State) Award

14. ANNUAL LEAVE

(i) All employees shall be entitled to annual leave in accordance with the Annual Holidays Act 1944.

(ii) Full-time employees and permanent part-time employees who are rostered to work their ordinary hours on Sundays and/or public holidays shall be entitled to receive additional annual leave as follows, if, during a qualifying period of employment for annual leave purposes, they have worked:

18 - 24 shifts

1 week.

Provided that, on termination of employment, employees shall be entitled to payment for untaken additional annual leave in respect of complete and incomplete years of employment calculated in accordance with this subclause.

(iii) Employees entitled to allocated days off duty in accordance with subclause (vi) of clause 4, Hours shall accrue credit towards an allocated day off during periods of additional annual leave provided for by subclause (ii) of this clause and clause 13, Public Holidays.

(iv) The employer shall give to each employee at least one month's notice of the date upon which the employee shall commence annual leave.
