14.1 Public holidays shall be allowed to employees on full pay.
14.2 Where an employee is required to, and does work on a public holiday, whether for a full day or not, the employee shall, for each such public holiday:
(a) be paid one and one-half day's salary in addition to the weekly rate; or
(b) if the employer and the employee so agree, be paid ordinary pay plus 50 per cent and one day's leave added to her/his period of annual leave or taken at a mutually suitable time.
14.3 For the purpose of this clause, the following shall be public holidays: New Year's Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Queen's Birthday, Labour Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, August Bank Holiday or any holiday proclaimed in lieu thereof, together with any other day observed as a public holiday within the area in which the agency is situated. Provided that, by agreement between an employer and employee, the August Bank Holiday may be taken on another day.
