AN140318 – Wool Classers and Wool Sorters (Other than Wool Classers and Wool Sorters Employed in Shearing Sheds) Award - South-Eastern Division 2003

PART 6 - HOURS OF WORK, BREAKS, OVERTIME, SHIFT WORK, WEEK-END WORK 

6.1 HOURS

6.1.1 The ordinary working hours shall not exceed 40 hours in any one week or 8 hours on any one day, to be worked continuously, except for the meal break, between 7.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive:

Provided that the ordinary daily working hours prescribed by this Award may as an alternative be as agreed between the employer and the Union.

6.1.2 Employees shall be entitled to a meal break of not less than one-half hour and not more than one hour for a meal to be taken between the fourth and sixth hour from commencement of work:

Provided that the duration of and time of taking such meal break shall be as mutually agreed upon between the employer and the employees. The duration of a meal break and the time at which such break is taken once having been determined in accordance with clause 6.1.2 may only be altered with the expressed approval of the employee to a proposed change or by the giving of one week's notice to the employee concerned.
