CLAUSE 38. FIRST AID

(a) The employer shall at every main place of employment (including all depots and stables) provide a first aid kit as prescribed by the State Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act 1986.
(b) An employee who has first aid qualifications and is appointed by the employer to carry out first aid in addition to usual duties shall be paid an additional rate of $1.96 ($2.03 1st pp on or after 01:04:2005) per day.
(c) Provided that in the case where employees subject to this Award are operating plant unaccompanied, at a distance of more than one kilometre from an established camp or depot or from the centre of operation of the gang to which they are attached, suitable first aid kits shall be provided for the operation of each machine.
