APPENDIX B. AREA ALLOWANCE - LEIGH CREEK, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

AREA ALLOWANCE - LEIGH CREEK, SOUTH AUSTRALIA
In addition to the rates of pay and allowances otherwise prescribed in this Award employees engaged on work at Leigh Creek shall be paid a special area allowance at the rate of $51.30 ($53.10 1st pp on or after 01:04:2005) per week for married employees and $34.11 ($35.50 1st pp on or after 01:04:2005) per week for single employees. Provided that such allowance:
(i) Shall be paid as a flat rate on a daily basis of $10.24 ($10.60 1st pp on or after 01:04:2005) and $6.82 ($7.06 1st pp on or after 01:04:2005) respectively for each ordinary working day worked and shall not exceed $51.30 ($53.10 1st pp on or after 01:04:2005) or $34.11 ($35.30 1st pp on or after 01:04:2005) per week respectively.
(ii) Shall be paid during periods of paid sick leave, approved special leave with or without pay and annual leave.
(iii) Shall not apply to proportionate annual leave on termination and long service leave.
