5.5.1 An employee who for a period of one day or more is called upon to perform the work of an employee in a higher classification will be paid for all time worked at a minimum rate prescribed for the said higher classification.

5.5.2 An employee called upon to perform higher duties will be placed on a position of the scale at a point which would provide the employee with a higher wage of at least $3.00 per week.
