CLAUSE 6.5 SATURDAY AND LATE NIGHT WORK

6.5.1 Double Time on Saturdays means double time in addition to the weekly wage.

6.5.2 For all time worked on Saturday until 5:00pm and on the nominated day of late night trading (as prescribed in clause 6.1) within ordinary hours, the following penalties and additions will apply:

6.5.2.1 Saturday Until 5:00pm

Ordinary rates plus 50% thereof for time actually worked.

6.5.2.2 Late Night

Ordinary rates plus 25% thereof for time actually worked after 6:00pm.

6.5.3 The ordinary time penalty loadings payable under this clause are to be calculated by reference to the appropriate hourly rates set out in the Schedule of this Award. The divisor to be applied to calculate the ordinary hourly rate will be 38 as defined in Schedule 1 multiplied by 1.25 or 1.5 as appropriate.

6.5.4 An employee who works overtime on a Saturday prior to 12:00 noon will be paid at the rate of time and one-half for the first 4 hours and double time thereafter. Any overtime worked after 12:00 noon on a Saturday will be paid at the rate of double time.

6.5.5 An employee who works overtime prior to 12:00 noon will be paid at overtime rates for a minimum of 2.5 hours work. Where an employee works overtime on Saturday after 12:00 noon the employee will be paid at the rate of double time for a minimum
of 3 hours.
