CLAUSE 6.7 PAYMENT OF PUBLIC HOLIDAY

6.7.1 Any employee who works on a public holiday as prescribed in clause 7.6 will be paid as defined in subclause 6.7.2. An employee required to work on a public holiday will be paid for a minimum of 3 hours work.

6.7.2 Double Time and One-Half on public holidays means:

6.7.2.1 a full-time or part-time employee engaged for work performed within ordinary daily hours must be paid at the rate of one and one-half times the ordinary hourly rate in addition to the weekly wage and for work performed outside ordinary daily hours at the rate of two and a half times the ordinary hourly rate.

6.7.2.2 a casual employee who works on a public holiday must be paid two and a half times the ordinary hourly rate.
