CLAUSE 3.3 WORKPLACE CONSULTATION

3.3.1 At each enterprise covered by this Award the employees and the employer may establish a mechanism and procedures which enables them to communicate and consult about matters arising out of this Award or other matters which they agree would assist in achieving and maintaining co-operative workplace relations and mutually beneficial work practices.

3.3.2 The consultative mechanism and procedures are to be appropriate to the size, structure and needs of the enterprise.

3.3.3 Consultation is a mechanism through which employees can be involved in and positively contribute towards management’s decision making process. All decisions are encouraged to be reached through consultation, however managerial prerogative is acknowledged.

3.3.4 In circumstances where agreement cannot be reached, parties can exercise their rights pursuant to Clause 3.2 Dispute Settling Procedure.
