10. PRESENTING FOR WORK BUT NOT REQUIRED

(a) A new employee, if engaged and presenting for work to commence employment and not being required shall be entitled to at least eight hours’ work or payment therefore at ordinary rates, plus the appropriate allowance prescribed by Clause 45 - Fares and Travel Patterns Allowance, of this award.

(b) PROVIDED that if the services of any tradesperson or builders labourer are not required by reason of inclement weather then the provision of Clause 16 - Inclement Weather – Division A - Tradespersons and Builders Labourers of this award, shall apply.
