AN170010 – Building and Construction Industry Award
(a) An employee required to attend for jury service shall be entitled to have his/her pay made up by the employer to equal the ordinary pay as for eight hours (inclusive of accrued entitlements prescribed by Clause 27 – Hours of Work or Clause 30 – Shift Work of this award) per day plus fares whilst meeting this requirement. The employee shall give the employer proof of such attendance and the amount received in respect of such jury service.
(b) An employee shall notify the employer as soon as practicable of the date upon which the employee is required to attend for jury service, and shall provide the employer with proof of this attendance, the duration of such attendance and the amount received in respect thereof.
(c) An employee working part-time pursuant to subclause 34(k) of this award required to attend for jury service during their agreed ordinary hours shall be paid in accordance with subclause (a) hereof on a pro rata basis.
