27.1 Rest periods after overtime
27.1.1 If the employee works so much overtime between successive days that the employee does not have a ten hour break, the employee must be released from duty after completing the overtime. The employee must then be given a ten hour break and must not lose pay for any time lost by reason of that break. This break may be reduced to eight hours at the request of the employee.
27.1.2 If the employee is required by the Company to resume or continue work without having that ten hour break, the employee must be paid at the rate of double time until the employee is released from duty. After the completion of this work, the employee is then entitled to a break of ten consecutive hours.
27.2 Meal breaks on overtime
27.2.1 If an employee works during the employee's meal break, the employee must be paid at the appropriate overtime rate until the meal break is allowed.
27.2.2 If an employee is required for overtime duty in excess of one hour before the normal starting time or in excess of one hour after the usual finishing time:
27.2.2(a) the employee must be given a meal break of twenty minutes paid at the appropriate overtime rate of pay. The meal break must be taken within five hours, or by mutual agreement, within six hours. This subclause may be varied by agreement between the Company and the employee to meet the circumstances of the work in hand. The Company must not, however, be required to make any payment in respect of any time allowed in excess of twenty minutes;
27.2.2(b) the employee must be given a further meal break of 30 minutes at the completion of each further four hour period of overtime worked paid at the appropriate overtime rate of pay;
