9.1 Dirty cleaning work allowance
An employee required to perform cleaning work which in the opinion of the person in charge is of an unusually dirty or offensive nature will be paid an allowance at the rate specified at Item 1 of Schedule B - Allowances whilst so employed.
9.2.1 Eligible classifications
An employee employed in a classification of Postal Delivery Officer, Senior Postal Delivery Officer Grade 1, Senior Postal Delivery Officer Grade 2 or Senior Postal Delivery Officer Grade 3 who is utilised to deliver, in addition to one of the normal three rounds, a portion (being not less than 100 delivery points) of a round other than one of the normal three rounds, will be paid the divide allowance specified at Item 2 of Schedule B - Allowances.
9.2.2 Relief employee
A relief employee who is utilised to deliver a portion (being not less than 100 delivery points) of a round in addition to the round being delivered that day, will be paid the divide allowance prescribed in 9.2.1.
9.2.3 Trainee
A Trainee Postal Delivery Officer who is performing Postal Delivery Officer duties will be paid the divide allowance prescribed in 9.2.1.
9.3 Gladstone locality allowance
An employee living and working in Gladstone, Queensland, in addition to all other remuneration except District Allowance, will be paid an allowance as follows:
9.3.1 Dependants
An amount equal to the amount shown at Item 3 of Schedule B - Allowances for employees with dependants;
9.3.2 Without dependants
An amount equal to the amount shown at Item 3 of Schedule B - Allowances for employees without dependants.
An employee employed as a Postal Services Officer or Senior Postal Services Officer Grade 1 who performs the in-charge supervisory role during extended trading hours at a retail facility will be paid an allowance to raise salary to the salary shown at Item 4 of Schedule B - Allowances.
An employee while employed full-time on Parcel Post duties and on the full range of duties will receive in addition to normal salary an allowance at the rate per annum shown at Item 5 of Schedule B - Allowances if the employee holds or acts in one of the following classifications:
9.5.1 Postal Transport Officer.
9.5.2 Parcel Post Officer.
9.5.3 Senior Parcel Post Officer Grade 1.
9.5.4 Senior Parcel Post Officer Grade 2.
9.6 Postal delivery officer functional allowance
An employee employed as Postal Delivery Officer, Senior Postal Delivery Officer Grade 2 (non-relief employee) or Senior Postal Delivery Officer Grade 3 who is utilised to deliver one or more rounds other than the normal 3 rounds will be paid the functional allowance specified at Item 6 of Schedule B - Allowances.
A Postal Transport Officer who:
9.7.1 has completed a prescribed course of training in sorting; and
9.7.2 is required on any day or part of a day to undertake manual sorting duties of outward mail using geographical knowledge, postcode or other sorting cues; and
9.7.3 is subject to prescribed sorting standards
will be paid such allowance as is necessary to raise the salary for the day to the salary prescribed for Postal Delivery Officer in Schedule A - Salary Rates.
