12. TEMPORARY PART-TIME ATTENDANT/CHEF EMPLOYEES

12.1 Scope

This clause only applies to temporary part-time Attendant, Senior Attendant, and Chef employees who were employed at 27 December 1995 under the Australia Post (Postal Workers) Award 1985 [A0170] and who elected not to transfer to the standard conditions for permanent part-time employees contained in this award and the Australia Post General Conditions of Employment Award 1999. The standard permanent part-time conditions do not apply to employees covered by this clause.

12.2 Loadings

12.2.1 A part-time employee must be paid no less than the hourly rate which is equivalent (on a 36.75 hour week basis) to the minimum weekly wage payable to a full-time employee of the same classification plus a loading of:

12.2.1(a) 100% for work performed on a Sunday or holiday;

12.2.1(b) 33.33% for work performed on any other day.

12.2.2 The minimum payment of any part-time employee for any one tour of duty will not be less than the amount payable to that employee for three hours' work and provided further that the earnings of a part-time employee (other than earnings on a Sunday or holiday) over a period of 36.75 hours will not exceed the weekly wage payable to a full-time employee of the same classification.

12.3 Annual leave - employees in New South Wales and Victoria

Part-time employees employed in the States of New South Wales and Victoria are to be granted annual leave as provided in the relevant State Annual Holidays Act.
