14.1 Period of payment
Each employee must be paid fortnightly during the normal working hours of the employee.
14.2 Method and time of payment
14.2.1 The employer must pay an employee: either by cash, cheque or by direct credit transfer to an account in a recognised financial institution nominated by the employee and without extra charges being incurred by the employee.
14.2.2 A lost or damaged wages cheque will be replaced where possible, within two working days of notification.
14.2.3 Where the normal day for payment of wages falls on a holiday as listed in clause 25 wages must be paid no later than the second last day the employer is open for business immediately preceding that holiday.
14.3 Record of payment
The employee must receive a fortnightly pay slip detailing:
14.4 Incorrect payment
14.4.1 An overpayment must not be deducted from an employee's pay without prior agreement as to the method of repayment.
14.4.2 When an employer is notified of and recognises an underpayment to an employee, the amount underpaid must be paid to the employee on or before the pay day for the next pay period.
