18. SUPERANNUATION

 
Note: The Superannuation Legislation Amendment (Choice of Superannuation Funds) Act 2005 provides that individual employees generally have the opportunity to choose their own superannuation funds. 18.1 Definitions

For the purpose of this clause the following definitions apply:

18.1.1 Employee means any person, employed by an employer who is a respondent to this award, on a full-time, or part-time basis, and persons employed on a casual basis who, receive from a single employer an aggregate wage of a minimum of $450.00 per calendar month.

18.1.2 Employer means an employer who is a respondent to this award.

18.1.3 Ordinary Time Earnings means the employee's wages for work performed during the ordinary hours as defined in clause 20.

18.1.4 The Superannuation Fund means any fund which complies with the requirements of the Superannuation Guarantee legislation 1992.

18.2 Contributions

The employer must pay on behalf of each employee who is a member of the superannuation fund a contribution at the rate prescribed by the Superannuation Guarantee legislation (1992).
