1.5.1 Classification means the salary range applying to a particular position within the staff structure of the Movement.
1.5.2 Council means the governing body of the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement Inc.
1.5.3 Country Office means an office of the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement Inc. located beyond a 150 kilometer, via road, distance from the Adelaide GPO.
1.5.4 Dependant in relation to an employee means the spouse of the employee (whether de facto or de jure) and the child or parent of the employee or of the spouse of the employee who ordinarily resides with the employee and who is wholly or substantially maintained by the employee.
1.5.5 Employee means a person employed by the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement Inc. on a permanent or temporary basis.
1.5.6 Field Officer means an employee who assists Aboriginal people in making them aware of their rights within the law and attends courts, appointed to by the Director, to assist Aboriginal people appearing in those courts and interviews clients regarding legal assistance.
1.5.7 Legal Officer means a person admitted as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia and practicing as a solicitor or as a barrister and solicitor.
1.5.8 Movement means the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement Incorporated as an association in South Australia.
1.5.9 Set of Barrister’s Apparel means the appropriate barristers wig, gown, alpaca jacket and bands or jabot.
1.5.10 Spouse means a husband or wife and must include a putative spouse as defined pursuant to the provisions of the Family Relationships Act, 1975, as amended, and a person cohabiting whether of the same sex or the opposite sex as a spouse.
