4.2 EMPLOYMENT CATEGORIES

4.2.1 Full-time employee

A full time employee means a person engaged to work 38 ordinary hours per week.

4.2.2 Part-time employee

4.2.2(a) Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement Inc. may employ regular part-time employees in any classification.

4.2.2(b) A regular part-time employee is an employee who:

• Is engaged to work less than full time hours, and
• Has predictable hours of work, and
• Receives on a pro-rata basis, equivalent pay and conditions to those of full-time employees who do the same work.

4.2.2(c) At the time of engagement the employer and the employee will agree in writing on a regular pattern of work, specifying at least the hours worked each day, which days of the week the employee will work and the starting and finishing hours each day.

4.2.2(d) Any agreed variation to the regular pattern of work will be recorded in writing.
