PART 5 - LEAVE AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
5.1 PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
An employee shall be entitled to the following holidays without loss of pay:
5.1.1 In the Melbourne metropolitan area
New Year's Day |
Anzac Day |
Australia Day |
Queen's Birthday |
Labour Day |
Good Friday |
Easter Monday |
Christmas Day |
Easter Tuesday |
Boxing Day |
Melbourne Cup Day |
and any other day or days as may be granted in addition to or in lieu of any of these days by proclamation or Act or Parliament.
5.1.2 In the rest of the State

plus one day as agreed by the employees and the Student Union in lieu of Melbourne Cup Day and any other day or days as may be granted in addition to or in lieu of any of these days by proclamation or Act of Parliament.
5.1.3 An employee required to work on a day referred to in sub clauses 5.1.1 or 5.1.2 shall be paid the ordinary rate plus 150% for the hours worked.
