The provisions of this clause apply to full-time and regular part-time employees (on a pro rata basis) but do not apply to casual employees. The entitlements of casual employees are set out in clause 12.4.7.
12A.1Paid bereavement leave
An employee is entitled to up to two days paid bereavement leave on the death of an immediate family or household member on each occasion.
12A.2Unpaid bereavement leave
A further period of unpaid bereavement leave may be taken by agreement with the employer.
12A.3Upon request by the College, an employee shall provide the College with satisfactory evidence of such death and the relationship of the deceased to the employee.
