10. CLASSIFICATIONS AND WAGE RATES

10.1 Wage rates
Rate per week for adult service with the same employer including service with a previous employer whose business or part of the business has been acquired or taken over by the employer.

Notwithstanding the minimum rates contained in this clause, an employee’s actual wage rates will not be reduced.
10.2.1 The rates of pay in this award include the arbitrated safety net adjustment payable under the Safety Net Review – Wages June 2005 decision [PR002005]. This arbitrated safety net adjustment may be offset against any equivalent amount in rates of pay received by employees whose wages and conditions of employment are regulated by this award which are above the wage rates prescribed in the award. Such above award payments include wages payable pursuant to certified agreements, currently operating enterprise flexibility agreements, Australian workplace agreements, award variations to give effect to enterprise agreements and over award arrangements. Absorption which is contrary to the terms of an agreement is not required.
Increases made under previous National Wage Case principles or under the current Statement of Principles, excepting those resulting from enterprise agreements, are not to be used to offset arbitrated safety net adjustments.
10.2.2 Scope of work
The wage rates prescribed in certified agreements and read in conjunction with this award shall comprehend the total scope of work performed by an employee assessed at the applicable level and includes acceptance that employees for the purposes of training and development, will perform work at a higher level to enable future regarding within the classification structure.

In addition to the rates prescribed above, the following additional payments shall apply to:
(a)
An Aerodrome Attendant or Senior Aerodrome Attendant who works in the vicinity of porters loading and/or unloading cargo into, or out of, the lockers of Boeing 727 100 and/or 200 series aircraft – per shift

(b)
An Aerodrome Attendant who, on any day or shift, is required to, and acts as, an Electronic Pipeline Control Board Attendant shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of clause 12 – Mixed Functions, of this award
(c)
A Leading Hand, i.e., an employee who is in charge of :
(i) 3 to 10 employees – per week
