PART 6 - HOURS OF WORK, BREAKS, OVERTIME, SHIFT WORK, WEEKEND WORK 

24. HOURS - DAY WORKERS

24.1 Ordinary hours of work - day workers

Unless otherwise determined by agreement in accordance with clause 11 - Consultative mechanisms and procedures in the workplace, the following provisions shall apply:

24.1.1 The average ordinary working hours shall be 38 per week worked in accordance with the following provisions for a four week work cycle.

24.1.2 The ordinary working hours shall be worked as a 19 day four week cycle of eight hours, Monday to Friday inclusive, between the hours of 6.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. with 0.4 of one hour each day worked accruing as an entitlement to a day off as programmed in each cycle paid for as though worked.

24.1.3 Notwithstanding the provisions of this award, conditions applicable to the working of ordinary time in excess of eight hours per day shall be as agreed between the company and the union.

24.2 Saturday and Sunday work - rate for ordinary hours

Ordinary hours of work performed on a Saturday shall be paid for at time and one half and on a Sunday at double time.
