21.1 An employee engaged for a total of more than two hours on any day or shift on duties carrying a higher rate than his/her usual classification shall be paid the higher rate for the entire day or shift.
21.2 An employee engaged for two hours or less on any day or shift on duties carrying a higher rate than his/her ordinary classification shall be paid the higher rate for the time so worked.
