29.1 Overtime rate
Except as otherwise provided in this clause, all time worked by a day worker in excess of or outside the ordinary hours of work (inclusive of time worked for accrual purposes) shall be paid for at one and a half times the ordinary prescribed rate for the first two hours, and at double the ordinary prescribed rate for all time thereafter.
29.2 Computation of overtime
For the purpose of computing overtime under this clause:
29.3 Saturday work
29.3.1 Overtime worked prior to 12.00 noon on a Saturday shall be paid for at the rate of time and one half for the first two hours and double time thereafter.
29.3.2 All overtime worked after 12.00 noon on Saturday shall be paid for at the rate of double time.
29.3.3 All work performed on the Saturday following Good Friday shall be paid for at the rate of double time and a half.
29.3.4 An employee required to work prearranged overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least three hours work or shall be paid for three hours at the appropriate rate.
29.4 Sunday work
29.4.1 All time worked on a Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of double time.
29.4.2 An employee required to work prearranged overtime on a Sunday shall be afforded at least four hours work or shall be paid for four hours at the rate of double time.
29.5 Transport after overtime
When a day worker, after having worked overtime, finishes work at a time when reasonable means of transport are not available, the employer shall provide him/her with conveyance to his/her usual place of residence or to the nearest appropriate public transport.
