PART 6 – HOURS OF WORK, BREAKS, OVERTIME, SHIFT WORK, WEEKEND WORK 

16. HOURS OF WORK

16.1 The span of ordinary hours for the beginning and ending of work shall be:

Time of starting	Time of finishing
Monday to Saturday	6.00 a.m. - 10.00 p.m.
On any Sunday where legal to trade	8.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.

16.2 Work rostered between 6.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. Saturday shall be paid at the ordinary hourly rate of pay plus 25% for full-time and part-time employees and at the ordinary hourly rate of pay plus 45% for casual employees.

16.3 Work rostered between 6.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. Saturday shall be voluntary for all employees employed by Kmart at the time of commencement of this award.

16.4 Work rostered during ordinary hours on a Sunday shall be paid at the ordinary hourly rate of pay plus 50% for full-time and part-time employees and at the ordinary hourly rate of pay plus 70% for casual employees.
