This award supersedes the following award previously applying to employees covered by this award:

6.1.2 Prior to its variation this award was entitled the Australian Government Employment – Professional and Executive General Conditions and Salaries Award 2002 [AW817969]

6.2 Inconsistency with legislation and regulations

6.2.1 This award shall be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions of employment made from time to time by the relevant employer as the case may be pursuant to the provisions of the relevant Act, its regulations and determinations.

6.2.2 Where those terms and conditions of employment are inconsistent with the provisions of this award, the latter shall prevail.
