An employee who has been trained to render first aid and who is the current holder of an appropriate first aid qualifications such as a certificate from the St. John Ambulance Association or similarly recognised bodies shall be paid an allowance of $2.65 per day extra if they are officially appointed by the employer to perform first aid duty at the relevant location. This amount is a flat payment and is not to be considered for all purposes of the award.
