No employee shall work for more than five hours without a break.
32.1 South Australia
32.1.1 All employees who work more than four hours in any one day shall be entitled to a paid ten minute tea break. All employees shall be entitled to a second paid ten minute tea break after eight or more hours work.
32.1.2 All employees who work more than five hours in any one day shall be allowed an unpaid meal break of between 30 and 60 minutes.
32.1.3 All employees who complete more than ten hours work on any one day shall be entitled to a second unpaid meal break of between 30 and 45 minutes.
32.1.4 Where an employee becomes entitled to two meal intervals in any one day, the minimum total of intervals shall be one hour and fifteen minutes.
32.2 Northern Territory
32.2.1 All employees shall be entitled to a paid fifteen minute tea break for four or more hours work. Employees shall be entitled to a second paid fifteen minute tea break for seven or more hours work.
32.2.2 All employees who work more than five hours in any one day shall be allowed an unpaid meal break of between 30 and 60 minutes.
32.2.3 All employees who complete more than ten hours work on any one day shall be entitled to a second unpaid meal break of between 30 and 45 minutes.
32.2.4 Where an employee becomes entitled to two meal intervals in any one day, the minimum total of intervals shall be one hour and fifteen minutes.
