4.1 Accident has the same meaning as defined in Part 2A of Division 1 of the Air Navigation Act 1920.
4.2 The Act means the Workplace Relations Act 1996 (Cth), as amended from time to time.
4.3 Association means The Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers Association.
4.4 Commission means the Australian Industrial Relations Commission.
4.5 Company means Qantas Airways Limited.
4.6 Employee unless otherwise specified means any person employed by Qantas, holding an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence, who is covered under the definitions of LAME and is employed by the Company in any of the classifications covered by the award.
4.7 Incident has the same meaning as defined in Part 2A of Division 1 of the Air Navigation Act 1920.
4.8 LAME means a LAME who is employed on Aircraft Maintenance, who has completed the Company LAME Company Induction Course and who holds a CASA or AME Licence.
4.9 Union means the CPSU, Community and Public Sector Union.
