4.1 Rostered day off means a day off arising from the working of ordinary hours in a nineteen day/four week cycle.
4.2 Long day means a day on which ordinary hours exceed nine ours, but do not exceed eleven hours.
4.3 Union means the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association or the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union.
4.4 Retail shop/warehouse means any place, building or part thereof, stall, tent, boat or pack in which goods are sold or offered or exposed for sale. For the purposes of this award it will include a person selling or soliciting business away from their employer’s place of business, excluding only catering establishments (but not employees engaged in retailing of goods in those shops), butcher shops, restaurants, tea shops, cafes and fish and oyster shops which are bound by the Liquor and Allied Industries Catering, Cafe, Restaurant, Etc. (Australian Capital Territory) Award 1998 [Print Q9848 [L0020CRA]] as varied. However where restaurants, tea shops and cafes sell goods, including fruit and vegetables, those restaurants, tea shops and cafes will be bound by this award.
