AT809096 - Salaried, Professional and Technical (TransAdelaide) Award 2001 [Transitional]

4. DEFINITIONS

4.1 Afternoon shift means any shift finishing after 5.00 p.m. and at or before midnight.

4.2 Block book off means one weeks absence from duty (Sunday to Saturday inclusive) consisting of working time accrued during a twenty week working cycle in substitution for the working of a 38 hour week.

4.3 Corporate services support/infrastructure employees means an employee employed in a corporate services support or infrastructure work site, department or section, as distinct from Rail operations.

4.4 Flexitime means that an employee and TransAdelaide have agreed for the employee to work flexitime as agreed between the parties and as varied, amended or substituted from time to time.

4.5 On call means that an employee has agreed to be available to perform work between the cessation of one rostered shift and before the commencement of their next normal rostered shift.

4.6 Ordinary hours means the hours of work fixed in accordance with clause 22 - Ordinary hours of work, and clause 23 – Special provisions for shift workers.

4.7 Night shift means any shift finishing after midnight and at or before 8.00 a.m.

4.8 Rail operations employee means an employee employed in a rail operations worksite, department or section, as distinct from Corporate services support/infrastructure.

4.9 Rostered shift means a shift of which the employee concerned has had at least 48 hours notice.

4.10 Substantive classification means the actual appointed classification of the employee confirmed in writing.

4.11 The parties means the parties to this award are TransAdelaide and the Unions listed in clause 7 – Parties bound, of this award.
