PART 3 - DISPUTE RESOLUTION
13. CONSULTATION
13.1 An Engineering Workplace Committee (EWC) will be created to oversee the application of this award to meet the needs of Virgin Tech, its employees, its stakeholders and the union. Whilst the composition of the EWC will vary over time with the size, structure and needs of the business, it will initially comprise of an equal number, as determined by Virgin Tech, of management representatives and employee nominated representatives.
13.2 The primary roles of the EWC are:
13.2.1 to decide how to handle challenges and changed circumstances that may arise during operations; and
13.2.2 to oversee the operation of clauses 9 - Enterprise flexibility, 11 - Flexibility - day work and shift work, and 12 - Index of facilitative provisions.
13.3 A union representative may attend a meeting of the EWC.
13.4 Virgin Tech will permit a notice board to be erected in the workplace to facilitate communication between the EWC, the employees and/or their union representatives.
13.5 A sub-committee may be set up consisting of nominated employees and management to discuss any changes to the CARs which may have impact on the implementation of this award.
