Application by the Australasian Meat Industry Employees Union to vary the Meat Industry Award 2020 – Schedule A—Classification Definitions.

[1] On 20 April 2021, the Fair Work Commission received an application from the Australasian Meat Industry Employees Union (AMIEU) which seeks to vary the classification structure in Schedule A—Classification Definitions of the Meat Industry Award 2020 (Meat Award).

[2] AMIEU’s proposed classification structure is set out in the Discussion Paper attached to their application.

[3] A mention of interested parties will be listed at 9.30am on Friday, 30 April 2021.

[4] The purpose of the mention is to ascertain the level of industry support for AMIEU’s proposal and to discuss possible directions.

[5] All correspondence will be issued via the website established in relation to the application. Interested parties are encouraged to subscribe to receive notifications on the subscription services page of the Commission’s website.
