DIRECTIONS
1. The Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU), on behalf of the union applicants, and any party or intervener in support are to file and serve on all other parties and interveners by 8 February 2002:
(a) submissions in support of the applications;
(b) affidavits of any witness evidence in support of the applications.
2. The submissions of all other parties together with affidavits of any witness evidence, are to be filed and served on parties and interveners by 1 March 2002.
3. The ACTU is to file and serve any written reply on all other parties by 20 March 2002.
4. All other parties are to file and serve on all other parties any written response to the ACTU's written reply by 28 March 2002.
5. The ACTU may not file any written material after 20 March 2002 unless by leave of the Commission, which leave shall not be granted unless:
a) The material relates to economic data, academic studies or reports not available to the ACTU prior to that date; or
b) There are special circumstances which warrant the filing of such material.
6. No other party may file any written material after 28 March 2002 unless by leave of the Commission, which leave shall not be granted unless:
a) The written material relates to economic data, academic studies or reports which were not available to the opposing party prior to that date; or
b) There are special circumstances which warrant the filing of such material.
7. Submissions are to be in legible font of at least 14 point and one and a half spacing. So far as possible submissions and other documents should also be made available in electronic form.
The Commission will sit in Melbourne on 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 April 2002. Any cross-examination will occur on 3 April 2002. If no cross-examination is required the ACTU will commence its submissions on that day.
