The inaugural sitting of Fair Work Australia will be at 9.00 am on Wednesday, 1 July 2009 at 80 William Street, Sydney. The proceedings will be streamed live from the Fair Work Australia website (www.fwa.gov.au).

Fair Work Australia (FWA) will commence on 1 July 2009. It will be the new national workplace relations tribunal.
The Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC) will continue to operate until 31 December 2009. During the transition period the AIRC will complete award modernisation and other matters relating to the period before 1 July 2009.
FWA and the AIRC will operate from the existing locations. More information about FWA is available from its website (www.fwa.gov.au) which will commence in the next few days.
