The organisation has 7 Chapters. Each Chapter is a reporting unit for the purposes of financial reporting and is therefore required to lodge an annual financial report.
The supreme governing authority of the organisation is vested in the Council, which consists of the Chapter representatives elected by and from the Chapter Committees.
The organisation is also governed by an Executive and the Chapters are governed by Chapter Committees.
The organisation and each of its Chapters have their own sets of rules by which they are governed.
All Secretary positions across the organisation are elected for a term of 4 years. Most other office positions are elected annually. The Australian Electorial Commission conducts the elections for all office positions in the organisation.
