On 1 January 2017 transitional recognition under Schedule 1 of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 (the RO Act) ended, unless an extension of time was granted.
Only transitionally recognised associations (TRAs) that were granted an extension of time continue to be recognised under Schedule 1 of the RO Act.
Associations that did not obtain an extension of time are no longer recognised at the Fair Work Commission. This does not affect their state registration.
