Registered organisations must comply with their own rules, as well as with the requirements of relevant legislation and regulations.
The Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 outlines the standards federally registered organisations must meet in relation to their finances, financial affairs, rules, elections and the conduct of officers.
In this section you will find information about the obligations of federally registered organisations in relation to elections, annual returns, financial returns and changes to records required to be kept by an organisation.
If you cannot find the information you need, please contact the Regulatory Compliance Branch of the Commission at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A free email subscription service is available. Subscribers are notified by email of information relevant to federally registered organisations, such as changes to obligations and upcoming webinars.
You can also subscribe to receive notification when applications by registered organisations are published in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette. This includes applications for registration, deregistration and changes to eligibility rules. Each email contains the name of the organisation lodging the application, the type of application lodged, and a link to the Gazette notice.
