This section provides information about the operations of enterprises and indicators of performance which contextualises the workplace relations decisions and practices reported by enterprises.
The performance indicators included in the AWRS, many of which are not available from other sources of data on workplace relations and employment matters, assist in understanding the drivers and outcomes of workplace relations policies and practices.
As with other components of the AWRS, these types of data should not be substituted for ABS data on the same issue. Rather, analysis of AWRS data is of most value when it focuses on workplace relations issues and combinations of data which are unique to the AWRS. It is the breadth of data items that cover various topics which is the greatest strength of the AWRS to provide new and unique insights and analysis (rather than the items analysed in isolation).
