5.2 RATES OF PAY - PIECEWORK WOOL PRESSERS
5.2.1 Wool pressers may be engaged on contract or piecework at not less than $0.01840881 per kg of wool pressed for pressing on the MacLodge press:
Provided that, where portion of the week only is worked by an employee on piecework, such employee shall receive the full amount earned at piecework rates and shall be paid for the balance of the week not less than the pro rata rate set out in this Award for the class of work performed.
5.2.2 In adjusting the rates of pay prescribed in clause 5.2.1 to accord with any amendment in the weekly rate of wages for 'Wool pressers, not covered by any other Award' in clause 5.1.1 of this Award, as declared from time to time as a result of General Rulings on wages rates declared by the Commission, the Industrial Registrar shall calculate the amount of any such adjustment in accordance with the following formula:
5.2.3 Weekly amount of such amendment plus 40% divided by 38100 (kg per week).
5.2.4 Wool pressers engaged in pressing dead wool on contract or piecework shall be paid an additional 28c per bale of dead wool pressed.
5.2.5 Wool pressers while engaged on contract or piecework shall not be required to weigh, brand, or stack pressed bales of wool or wheel such bales to holding area.
5.2.6 For the purposes of calculating the payments to be made to contract or piecework wool pressers in respect of overtime work, Sunday work, and work performed on public holidays as provided for by clauses 6.2, 6.3 and 7.6 respectively of this Award, "time and a-half" shall mean one and a-half times the appropriate piecework rate of pay and "double time" shall mean double the appropriate piecework rate of pay.
