AN160741 – Coal Mining Industry (Engineers) Award 1990
(1) The number of apprentices allowed to the employer shall be in the proportion of one 1 apprentice to three 3 or part of 3 tradespersons employed on the particular branch of work. Apprenticeship shall not commence before the apprentice is 15 years of age.
(2) Apprentices shall be allowed to the following trades -
(a) Fitter and Turner,
(b) Machinist,
(c) Plant Mechanic,
(d) Electrical Fitter,
(e) Millwright,
(f) Welder,
(g) Motor Mechanic,
(h) Auto Electrician.
The employment of apprentices under this award shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Industrial Training Act 1975.
