34. STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING

34.1 An employee shall have access to training and other developmental opportunities required for the purposes of classification within, and for progress through, the Adult Education Officer structure and for the incremental payments available for the acquisition of skills and knowledge.

34.2 The provision of such staff development and training is to be consistent with the current and future skill requirements of staff and the needs of the organisation, the size, structure and nature of the organisation, and the principles of equal opportunity.
