AP797062 - Student Union Employees Core Conditions Award 1997

1.6 DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of this award:

(a) "Casual employee" means an employee who is engaged and paid by the hour.

(b) "President" means such persons who are delegated authority with respect to any or all of the matters covered by this award by the governing body of such employers as are listed in clause 1.2 of this award.

(c) "Contract employee" means a person who is employed either full-time or on a fractional-time basis pursuant to a written contract which specifies the date the employee is to commence work and the date on which the employment shall terminate.

(d) “Employer” means the employers listed in clause 1.2 of this award.

(e) "Fractional-time employee" means an employee other than a casual employee who is employed to work for less than the ordinary hours of duty prescribed by this award.

(f) "Full-time employee" means an employee who is employed to work the ordinary hours of duty prescribed by this award.

(g) "Holiday" means any or all of the holidays specified in clause 5.1 by this award.

(h) "Overtime" means time authorised to be worked by an employee in excess of or outside of the ordinary hours of duty of the employee.

(i) "PACCT staff" means professional, administrative, clerical, computing and technical staff of a Student Organisation.

(j) “Student Union” means the relevant employer listed in clause 1.2 by this award.
