16.1 A full-time or part-time teacher required to attend for jury service during ordinary working hours shall be reimbursed by the employer for a period not exceeding twenty working days for an amount equal to the difference between the amount paid in respect of the attendance for such jury service and the amount of wages the teacher would have received in respect of the ordinary time worked had the teacher not been on jury service.
16.2 A teacher shall notify the employer as soon as possible of the date upon which the teacher is required to attend for jury service. Further, the teacher shall give the employer proof of attendance, the duration of such attendance, and amount received in respect of such jury service.
