13.1 Wages and allowances will be paid fortnightly provided that employees paid on a weekly basis as at 28 November 1988 may elect to continue to be paid weekly. The last two days’ wages due may be kept in hand.
13.2 On termination of the employment, wages due to an employee will be paid on the day of termination, or forwarded by post on the next working day.
13.3 Wages and allowances will be paid by electronic funds transfer into a bank account nominated by the employee. In the event of a failure in the banking system causing late lodgement of payment to an employee’s bank account, payment will be effected by cash or cheque in accordance with arrangements made locally.
